En mars, Hollywood débarque à Actéon!
Moment fort de l’année pour nos élèves comédiens, Christian Martin, acteur californien renommé, dispensera 9 jours d’enseignement sur le théâtre psychologique à travers le prisme des techniques théâtrales, télévisuelles et cinématographiques américaines. Une présentation publique du travail effectué se tiendra le samedi 7 avril à 16h au théâtre des 3 Soleils à Avignon. On a hâte!Christian Martin est né à Denver, au Colorado. Il a déménagé en France à l'âge de 5 ans, puis en Angleterre à l'âge de 11 ans. Il a fréquenté le Collège d'art et de design de Birmingham avant de se rendre à Londres pour étudier le théâtre à la Crysalis Acting School. Après ses études, il a travaillé deux ans au théâtre de Londres et a fait une tournée en Corse avec A Midsummer Night's Dream. Il apparait pour la première fois à l’écran dans Love is the Devil, réalisé par John Maybury (sélection officielle du Festival de Cannes avec Derek Jacobi et Daniel Craig).Christian emménage en Californie en 2001 et a commencé à travailler avec la Grace Players Theatre Company, à Hollywood et plus tard, il a collaboré avec le B Street Theatre à Sacramento, en Californie. Il a été révélé dans la pièce Off-Broadway, Epitaph, pour George Dillion au 45th Street Theatre de New York, sous la direction de Larry Moss, metteur en scène et acteur de renommée internationale. Ses apparitions à la télévision et au cinéma incluent CSI Miami, Hawaii Five-O, Pirates des Caraïbes, avec Johnny Depp, Master and commander, avec Russell Crowe, et Rendition avec Peter Skarsgard.Il est membre du Writers and Actors Lab de l'American Film Institute de Los Angeles, de l'Actors Equity Association et de la Screen Actors Guild.Christian pense que le métier d'acteur est un processus en constante évolution à travers la découverte et que la création est infinie. Il est ravi d'avoir l'opportunité d'enseigner et de partager ses expériences de techniques télévisuelles, cinématographiques et théâtrales américaines aux formidables acteurs de l'École de théâtre Actéon.
